For students in grades 6-8, each trimester an “A” and “B” honor roll is published in The Redhawk and Saint Rose Parish Bulletin. All graded classes are used to obtain a student’s grade point average, although some subject areas may be weighted differently depending on scheduling. Using a 4.0 point scale, students with a 3.67 or above-average achieve the “A” honor roll.
Students with a 3.0 through 3.66 average achieve the “B” honor roll.
Students are also publicly recognized after each of the first two trimesters. Certificates of merit for academic achievement are awarded at this time.
The Student of the Trimester award is given to students at each Honor Roll Mass. The award will be given to students who have been role models inside and outside the classroom; exhibit a variety of leadership roles within the school and community; demonstrate Christian values and model the Mission Statement, and do well academically for that particular trimester. As such, it is a testament not only to academic excellence but also to the strength of character.
