I grew up in Rhode Island and moved to Minnesota in high school. I have a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from the University of Northwestern-Saint Paul. I have been teaching school orchestra and private studio lessons since 1997 and teaching orchestra for the Totino-Grace Fine Arts Academy since 2016. I love to work with beginner and intermediate students, laying the groundwork for more advanced study as the students learn and grow. The excitement students have as they start to play a new instrument and the "ah ha" moments they have as they learn new skills are so rewarding. When I'm not at school, I enjoy time with my family (husband, three sons, and a daughter-in-law) and crafting (sewing, crocheting, weaving).
