Greetings and welcome to Saint Rose of Lima!
I appreciate your interest in learning more about our school and myself. My journey in private education has been lifelong, with my educational roots tracing back to my days at St. Peter’s in North St. Paul, MN, from kindergarten through 8th grade. Following my grade school years, I continued my education at North High, where I had the privilege of being taught by some outstanding educators who ignited my passion for teaching.
The desire to become an educator led me to pursue my degree in Physical Education and Health at UW-River Falls after high school. I spent eight years teaching Physical Education and Health, while also assuming the role of part-time Assistant Principal. During this time, some of my proudest moments as a teacher resulted from the annual Wolf-Ridge Environmental Learning Center experience, coaching young men and women in basketball, and helping students reach their potential in my gym and classroom. Recognizing our deep impact on students’ lives keeps me motivated each day.
My commitment to education drove me to pursue a Master's in Education from St. Mary's University of Minnesota. As I neared the completion of my master's program, I felt a call to further my education and obtain my K-12 Education Administration degree and a desire to become a principal. I embarked on this new academic journey and acquired my administration license in 2012. In the spring of 2023, I proudly concluded my thesis paper and earned my Education Specialist Degree from Saint Mary’s.
With over a decade of administrative experience, I've evolved not only as an educator but also as a principal and individual. One of the aspects I cherish most about being a principal in a Catholic school is to share and celebrate the faith and I love helping plan and be part of bringing the larger picture to completion. I now recognize how through collaborative efforts, we can achieve remarkable outcomes for children and their families.
