My name is Dave Gottwalt. I am blessed to be the 5th grade teacher at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic School. I bring 30 years of teaching experience to this position, and I have a deep love for Christ and our Catholic faith. I taught for 17 years in the St. Paul Public School District and gained much knowledge and experience of how to teach students of various backgrounds and needs. I have truly enjoyed the past six years at St. Rose and am excited for another year to share my love for learning and my faith. I graduated from the Archdiocesan Catechetical Institute in 2017 and I enjoy singing with my family in church choirs. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy all sorts of outdoor activities; especially camping, hiking, biking, and softball.  I also love to travel and enjoy keeping up with Minnesota sports teams.
